About this antibody range

VHH antibodies are derived from the variable regions of naturally occurring camelid heavy-chain-only antibodies. Unlike conventional antibodies, a VHH can recognise its antigen as a single binding domain without the need for paired heavy and light chains. Their relatively small size and straightforward recombinant design make them useful building blocks for research reagents and engineered binding formats.

Our range enables researchers to explore VHH reagents against a variety of biological targets. Product-specific datasheets should be consulted for target reactivity, molecular weight, formulation, conjugation and any experimentally validated applications.

Key characteristics

Frequently asked questions

What is a VHH single domain antibody?

A VHH is a single antigen-binding domain derived from camelid heavy-chain-only antibodies. It can bind an antigen without a paired light-chain variable domain.

How do I choose a VHH reagent?

Choose according to the biological target, species reactivity, formulation and the applications validated for the individual product.
