I’ve spent my entire career working in cell culture sera, and it’s an industry I’ve always loved. As a founding member of the International Serum Industry Association, I’ve had the privilege of serving as Secretary, Chair, and Board Member for over 20 years. Along the way, I’ve worked with some of the greats in our field, and I’m incredibly grateful for the knowledge, experience, and friendships built over that time. I’m very proud of what we’ve achieved at Life Science Group, and excited for what’s still to come. None of it would be possible without a dedicated team who genuinely care about supporting our customers in every way they can.

2008

Began

Antibody Production Services (APS)

LSG was born as Antibody Production Services (APS) , a virtual company offering de novo antibody generation projects using animal facilities in the UK

2009

First Facility

Acquired Facility in Shefford

The Company acquired it’s first facility in Shefford to expand into the processing of cell culture serum,

2014

Moved

First LSG reagents launched

The Company moved to a new facility in Wilden to expand manufacturing capabilities. Our early product ranges were launched to cater for demand in the UK and European research community.

2018

KTP

Development of CellShip

LSG, via a Knowledge Transfer Partnership (KTP) with Coventry University, developed CellShip, the first of two proprietary transport mediums.

2020

COVID

Supporting COVID Response Efforts

LSG supported the COVID response effort for Public Health England. The Company achieved ISO 13485 in record time and started manufacturing reagents for COVID testing programs.

2021

Acquisition

New Facility in Sandy

The Company acquired a new facility in Sandy, The Science Centre. This would give the Company increased manufacturing, laboratory and warehouse space.

2022

Moved

Established cleanroom operations

Completed fit out and commissioned two Grade C/D cleanrooms facilitating the manufacture of GMP-compliant reagents.

2024

Continued Expantion

Growing the Team

Continued to develop business across the cell culture and molecular biology markets, with team growth support the new look operation.
