Hiring a Product and Technical Sales Specialist

Life Science Group Ltd (LSG) has an opportunity for a talented individual to join the team at Sandy, Bedfordshire.  We are looking to recruit an individual to take responsibility for developing new customer relationships as well as developing their own relationships with our existing customer base.

This is a newly created role, reflecting the recent rapid growth of the business.  You will be responsible for driving growth and creating opportunities for the portfolio of products and services offered by the company.  This is an exciting role for a skilled and dynamic individual looking for a new challenge.

The Role

    • Product Pricing/Distributor pricing
    • Working with marketing on website design/organisation of products
    • Creation of technical literature content
    • Release of new products and services plus technical content
    • Targeted product campaigns
    • Training sales team
    • Driving the sales team
    • Support on tenders
    • Product Research/competitor research
    • Attends scientific meetings/trade shows
    • Works with the marketing team on planning and creating content for social media and email blasts
    • Responsible for development of new customers
    • Take responsibility for actions/projects and deadlines
    • Be commercially aware and able to prioritise
    • Maintain customer satisfaction
    • Use market and product knowledge to assist sales teams in developing sales, marketing and customer account sales strategies
    • Provide management reports, create and maintain KPIs
    • This is an office and field-based role

    • Currently located in the UK and with the right to work in the UK

Education and Experience

    • Strong technical background/lab experience (MSc/PhD minimum)
    • Sales experience with in-depth knowledge of cell culture or molecular biology
    • Customer service experience in the relevant industry
    • Public speaking and presentation skills
    • Experience with Microsoft 365 helpful
